The Senior Medical Advisor is a senior expert individual contributor who combines deep scientific and clinical expertise with strong external engagement to shape and execute country Medical Affairs strategy within the assigned therapeutic area. The role is performed in a hybrid setting, encompassing both office-based responsibilities and field-based interactions.

The Senior Medical Advisor owns the country-level scientific engagement approach for priority external stakeholders, ensuring high-impact, high-quality scientific exchange and serving as a trusted medical expert for complex inquiries and escalations. The role leads the planning and delivery of local medical meetings and ensures that insights captured through external engagement are synthesized into clear, actionable recommendations for the overall product strategy.

Additional responsibilities include leading local evidence planning and advising on data generation priorities, and providing expert medical oversight for clinical trials and non-interventional studies in close collaboration with Clinical Operations and RWE teams.

The Senior Medical Advisor works closely with local, regional, and global Medical Affairs colleagues and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate scientific exchange and effective internal communication of medical insights, reinforcing the BeOne’s position as a trusted scientific partner.

The role reports to the Head of Medical Advisors .

Essential Functions of the J ob:

COLLABORATION WITH KEY EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS (>50%)

  • Identify, map and build strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders at the country level, including KOLs, research centres of excellence, scientific societies and advocacy organizations.

  • In collaboration with the Head of Medical Advisors , lead the development, implementation and monitoring of Medical Engagement and advocacy plans for the target stakeholders.

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based scientific information on BeOne’s products and facilitate responses to unsolicited medical information requests, in close collaboration with BeOne Medical Information Services personnel.

  • Lead the planning and organization and chair clinically relevant local medical meetings (e.g., advisory boards, consultancy and investigator meetings).

  • Support, attend and follow up on local, national, and international scientific congresses and other relevant events, facilitating enterprise activities and contributing to omnichannel medical initiatives, thereby taking a shared responsibility for achieving our goals as BeOne.

MEDICAL INSIGHT GENERATION AND ANALYSIS (20-30%)

  • Identify unmet medical needs and emerging trends in the assigned therapeutic area.

  • Systematically capture, document and assess stakeholder insights on disease areas, clinical practice patterns, and stakeholder expectations.

  • S ynthesize and analyse field-based insights to support evidence-based decision-making, in collaboration with the Field Medical Lead ] .

  • Identify and support opportunities for innovation and field excellence initiatives to differentiate BeOne in the therapeutic area and achieve medical objectives.

EVIDENCE PLANNING, DATA GENERATION AND CLINICAL RESEARCH SUPPORT (10-20%)

  • Lead the identification of evidence gaps and support the development of local data generation initiatives, aligned with medical strategy, company objectives, and stakeholder needs.

  • Provide expert medical input into clinical study design to ensure feasibility, quality and successful execution of local clinical trials.

  • Support the identification and verification of investigators and sites for company-sponsored clinical trials.

  • Oversee and facilitate the end-to-end management of Investigator-Initiated Research (IIRs) proposals.

  • Monitor Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) and Investigator-Initiated trials (IITs) within the therapeutic area ensuring appropriate clinical trial conduct, in close partnership with Clinical Operations and RWE teams.

  • Drive to the interpretation, analysis and scientific communication of data generated from medical studies.

INTERNAL COLLABORATION AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COMMUNICATION (10%)

  • Establish strong relationships with the local Medical Affairs Department and collaborate with BeOne's European and Global Medical Affairs teams.

  • Communicate relevant medical insights and emerging clinical and scientific trends to internal stakeholders.

  • Provide scientific and medical expertise to internal cross-functional teams (e.g. Market Access, Marketing and Sales), as needed.

  • Act as a key local medical partner by supporting scientific content review, medical information activities, and the education and training of sales teams . ] .

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Medical Affairs (5 years minimum) preferably with field-based responsibilities, demonstrating the ability to apply medical and scientific expertise in practice.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge of treatment guidelines, compliance standards, local/regional regulatory requirements and healthcare system.

  • In-depth understanding of the relevant therapeutic area landscape and local market dynamics.

  • Ability to identify and address unmet medical, educational and research needs within the medical community.

  • Advanced analytical capabilities to collect, analyze and interpret key scientific data and insights, supporting data-driven decision-making and identification of new opportunities.

  • Solid understanding of the design and execution of research studies and strategic implications.

  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented mindset with ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Exhibits a high degree of emotional intelligence and appreciation of diversity and multiculturalism.

  • Excellent medical and scientific communication skills.

  • Flexibility and resilience to navigate complexity and high-pressure situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Not applicable.

Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, experienced with electronic CRM systems.

Other Qualifications:

Fluency in both verbal and written English and German necessary; any other major European language is of advantage.

Travel:

Willingness to travel extensively (about 50% of time), participation in congresses and medical meetings; a valid driving license is required.

Salary Range Germany: 109,100.00 EUR - 136,400.00 EUR
