The Position

Join Boehringer Ingelheim's Animal Health organization and contribute to the development of innovative pharmaceutical products that support animal health and well-being. As a Postdoctoral Scientist in Drug Product Development, you will evaluate novel technologies, optimize formulations and manufacturing processes, and generate scientific insights that help drive successful development projects. Working within a collaborative environment, you will contribute to bringing innovative solutions to the animal health market.

This Position is limited for 2 years.

Tasks & responsibilities

With a focus on innovative pharmaceutical development, you will develop and optimize platform formulations, including tablets, oral solutions/suspensions, and chewable tablets.
By evaluating new technologies, you will contribute to improving bioavailability and palatability.
As part of the team, you will develop methods for the physicochemical characterization of excipients, intermediates, and pharmaceutical products.
Within your area of responsibility, you will plan, perform, and document complex studies related to formulation, process, and packaging development.
When executing development activities, you will ensure thorough documentation of experimental work and results.
In this role, you will lead internal projects and contribute to cross-functional project activities.
Through close collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support the successful implementation of pharmaceutical development projects.

Requirements

PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology or a related scientific discipline.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation development, physicochemical characterization of excipients, and pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Excellent communication skills combined with a structured working style, organizational talent, and a collaborative mindset.
Very good written and spoken English skills.
