Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Director, Value Stream Leader is responsible for managing other managers, supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.
Communicates direction for Multi-Family Supply Chain Manufacturing processes to managers, supervisors, and individual contributors, and ensures methods align with organizational goals and objectives.
Develops policies and procedures relating to the operational structure and customer-tailored Supply Chain solutions to support key departmental goals and objectives.
Collaborates with multiple departments to coordinate the compliance of Supply Chain Manufacturing project plans, procedures, and rules of engagement with the Company’s safety, quality, and federal and state regulatory standards.
Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
Integrates JnJs Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

o Sustain a Patients First, winning culture of excellence in execution, continuous improvement, and communication within production facilities. Demonstrated ability to think globally.

o Manages other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.

o Collaborates cross-functionally to coordinate Manufacturing Assembly improvement initiatives.

o Owns the end-to-end performance of the assigned manufacturing area

o Work in partnership with the training team to develop programs to facilitate cross training of manufacturing personnel, employee development, and quality systems compliance.

o Ensure compliance with ISO13485, GMP, FDA, OSHA regulations

o Assure timely delivery of product per agreed-to build plan to internal and finished goods customers

o Monitor work, alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, control flow of work to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment

o Provide prompt problem solving for key issues, driving through from root cause identification, containment, problem resolution, and ensuring repeat issues are avoided

o Act as a team role model and change agent. Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.

o Own and monitor areas KPIs and work proactively to improve those KPIs, including but not limited to Safety, Quality, Delivery, cost and inventory.

o Ensure adherence to production targets and on-time delivery commitments.

o Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

o Support New Product Introduction initiatives and advocate for Manufacturing optimization in design and process development.

o Maintain accurate inventory metrics via cycle count, initiate and demonstrate discipline in material movements in and out of work orders.

o In partnership with site quality, ensures that products are manufactured in compliance with regulatory and quality system requirements. Drive continuous improvement by reducing non-conformances, leading and supporting CAPA effective closure and Internal audit observations on time. Properly managing risk and ensuring all manufacturing processes deliver the targeted yield, compliance and customer safety.

o Project a clear vision for the future of the operation, having a key seat at the table to be vocal in strategic discussions/decisions with Ops strategy lead and senior Ops leadership.

o Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with Federal, State, Company regulations, policies, and procedures

o Performs other duties assigned as needed

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

o BS in engineering or business, MBA or MS preferred

o Minimum 8 years related work experience and at least 3 years of leadership experience. Medical device experience preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

o Experience managing compliance associated with quality, regulatory, and safety policies

o Desired experience transitioning product and process change into manufacturing operations

o Desired knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

o Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback, coach/mentor, and develop individuals

o Knowledge of manufacturing operational systems, best practices, processes, and technology

o Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently through the hierarchy

o Model the Abiomed/J&J values and culture to be an ambassador both within and outside the company

o Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of SAP desired.

o Knowledge of Manufacturing Planning/Production Execution in SAP S4 ERP and EWM

o Ability to exercise judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

o Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of SAP desired.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 90.400 EUR to 156.975 EUR.
In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
