About the Team

You will become part of a highly motivated team of scientists working at the exciting interface of platform technology development, drug design, and lead candidate nomination. Our team is pioneering a novel, antibody-mediated drug delivery platform specifically tailored for PROTACs (Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras): the PROxAb Shuttle.

Project Description

The central goal of this master thesis is to derive parameters to predict suitability of a PROTAC-antibody pair for treating a given oncology indication. You will systematically screen different PROTAC–antibody combinations on multiple cell lines using cellular assays in a direct-to-biology manner to establish clear selection criteria and structure–activity relationships. Additionally, you will use AI-based tools to handle, analyze, and extract meaningful trends from the large datasets generated.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and analyze cell viability assay experiments to assess PROTAC–antibody combinations
  • Conduct systematic screenings to define payload selection criteria
  • Apply AI and data science approaches to process and interpret large experimental datasets to identify trends and derive conclusions
  • Present your findings clearly and confidently to a scientific audience

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Medicine, or Medicinal Chemistry
  • Independent and thorough working mode with a strong sense of scientific rigor
  • Confidence in structuring and presenting scientific concepts
  • Excellent English and fluency in German is mandatory
