As Senior Technician within the WIDGeT consortium (Viral Vector Intelligent Design for Gene Therapy), you will execute and design complex molecular biology experiments focused on single-cell applications using NGS technology. You will work on developing innovative technology to provide sensitive information of AAV transgene expression at the single-cell level, leveraging droplet microfluidics, DNA barcoding, and scRT-PCR. Your expertise will directly contribute to accelerating the development of gene therapies for age-related macular degeneration and hereditary kidney diseases. Ready to get started?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and design complex molecular biology experiments with focus on single-cell applications, NGS analysis, and protocol optimization
  • Analyze experimental data and write laboratory documentation, presenting research findings in clear and professional formats
  • Co-supervise technicians and undergraduate students involved in the research project
  • Report progress and collaborate with other members of the WIDGeT consortium
  • Maintain and optimize laboratory workflows using advanced technologies including droplet microfluidics, FACS, PCR, qPCR, and NextSeq Illumina sequencing
  • Contribute to the development and validation of innovative single-cell analysis methodologies

About you

Experience:

  • Experience in molecular biology with hands-on expertise in PCR, purification, and NGS experiments and analysis.
  • Background in single-cell assays (flow cytometry).
  • Experience with low-input molecular biology assays (single-cell RNA sequencing, 10X, PARSE). Experience with protocol optimization and routine laboratory techniques.
  • Familiarity with recombinant AAV, organoids/tissues preparation, or screening is a plus

Technical and Soft Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with routine laboratory techniques and experimental workflow.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (Prism, Spotfire, or equivalent).
  • Interest in bioinformatics and ability to work on challenging projects.
  • Ability to co-supervise and mentor junior team members

Education: BUT/DUT or Master's degree in Biology or Molecular Biology

Languages: Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken).

The salary range for this position is :€42 400,00 - €56 533

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
