Trainee Early Careers Germany (m/w/d)
We are looking for a motivated, well-organized, and collaborative Trainee Early Careers Germany (m/w/d) to join us in our Talent Acquisition & Learning team, based in Monheim am Rhein, Germany.
This role is not a traditional traineeship with a rotational structure . From day one, you will become a full member of a dedicated team and take on meaningful operational tasks within a defined functional area. You will actively contribute to concrete projects and day-to-day activities while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. The position is offered as a fixed-term (24 month) entry role designed to give you a solid start into your career.
About the role
In this role, you will support the coordination and delivery of UCB’s Early Career programs in Germany, reporting directly to the Early Career Partner Germany. You will contribute to the recruitment, development, and operational execution of programs such as the Dual Study Program, Traineeships, Internships, and Working Student roles. You will work closely with candidates and internal stakeholders, help create meaningful learning experiences for early talents, and support events, projects, and communication activities that strengthen UCB’s Early Career presence in Germany. You will also collaborate on cross-country initiatives and employer branding activities.
Who you’ll work with
You will work closely with colleagues across Talent Acquisition and Learning in Germany, including the Talent Country Lead, Talent Partners, Integrated Talent Acquisition, and Talent Operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders across functions, as well as with Works Council and Youth & Apprentice Council representatives. Externally, you will engage with universities, schools, and networks related to early talent development.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate and support recruitment activities for the Dual Study Program in Germany, acting as a key contact for candidates throughout the selection and hiring process
- Plan and deliver Early Careers events such as onboarding days and workshops
- Manage internship and working student inquiries for the German location
- Create and update materials supporting Early Career programs
- Support employer branding initiatives and digital communication activities
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business Psychology, or a related field
- Initial practical experience through internships, working student roles, traineeships, or first professional roles in HR or Early Careers
- Good understanding of the German education system and early talent pathways; interest in labor market and labor law topics is a plus
- Excellent German language skills enabling confident, professional communication in a business environment, combined with very good English skills
- High interest in digital tools and social media, with first experience in content creation or online communication
- Well-organized working style, curiosity to learn, and motivation to take ownership of tasks and projects
